U.S. Navy expands use of 3D-printed parts to speed Columbia- and Virginia-class submarine production and ease supply bottlenecks

The U.S. Navy issued new technical requirements on Aug. 11 that broaden the use of metallic additive manufacturing across submarine design, construction, overhaul and repair.
